Joe Pickett investigates the mass murder of a group of campers in a back-country corner of Yellowstone National Park. But not only has the killer gleefully confessed, he’s gotten off free. The reason is an absolute shocker—and absolutely believable.

C. J. Box Is One Of The Best Authors Ever Dec 28, 2008 The first book I read by C. J. box was "The Heaven" it let me to read the book for one day. I did order from Amazon to get all his books to me.
C.J. Box Dec 22, 2008 I have just gotten acquainted with this author and found him to be a very interesting, good read. The Joe Pickett series are all really worth reading.
Free Fire Nov 10, 2008 This is my first C.J. Box book. I started reading it in the morning, and didn't stop until I finished it in the evening. I love Yellowstone and as I read the book, could picture the places featured in the book. Bio-mining is thought provoking, particularly with gas and oil costs out of sight.
Fabulous book - good for its mystery and for making a person think!
Very Good Aug 11, 2008 I like the series, the only fault I can see is that I would like more of the family involvement as Mr. Box did in earlier books. That is one of the things I thought made his stories different from the run of the mill.
very poor digital edition Aug 02, 2008 though i enjoyed the story this was one of the worst digitl editions I have ever read. The words ran together making for a most unenjoyable reading experience.
